Take time to speak with a few homeless people and one thing becomes obvious: there's no single path that leads to life on the streets.
Some become homeless after losing a job. Others are reduced to this existence after drugs and gambling have stolen every last dollar and all of their self-worth.
Confused, hopeless and desperate, The Salvation Army helps these individuals put the pieces of their lives back together. Our total for 9:00 is $2,055,870.

I called at 9 pm an donated 240.00 and would like to dedicate it to WOMC's Rebekah Rhodes. Her story of her own experience with the Salvation Army touched me. Thanks to all of Purtan's people and all the other volunteers involved with the radiothon.
